Alexandra... She came into this world without a blemish. As a baby she was an absolute angel. She was pretty much happy just staring at me (and anyone her big blue eyes could find). As she grows I see her fighting for her place in the family. With two brothers, she has to fight to be heard, to be understood, and to prove she is unique and feminine. Alex is a perfect balance of delicate and tuff. One minute she is playing with her paper dolls and the next she is ramming cars down the car ramp with Shane. She is told (by me) that she is beautiful on a daily basis and she will forever hear this from me. As her personality develops, Kevin and I deeply enjoy how absolutely adorable she can be. Right now she wants so bad to be a reader. Sometimes when Jesse is reading she interrupts him and asks him to point to the word she is interested in. She pretends to read "chapter books" like her big brother. She loves her ballet class and she is actually quite graceful. I think mostly Alexandra wants to be loved and accepted by her family. She is sweet and kind if you take the time to get to know her. At the end of the day, she always has a "surprise" for me. Her surprise is a big huge bear hug before she lays down- not on her bed but in the crack between her bed and the wall :>)

Hey there Princess...don't fall in...the water looks very cold!
I love how you write about your kids. I loved it last year, and I love it again. It makes me love your kids even though I don't know them. You're a wonderful mother. Keep it up.
